Assignment Title: Observation Report
What I learned: In this assignment I learned how to recognize certain actions and attitudes while observing different age groups.
Reflection to assignment: This assignment brought to life the concepts learned in class. I had never thought to pay attention the hunger and satiety signals of an infant prior to this class. When I was observing Baby Gabe being fed, he exhibited multiple traits that were discussed in class. I now pay attention to these cues whenever I am around infants and older children.
Relevance to the profession: The skills taught through this assignment are important in showing that people have the inherent ability to regulate their eating. It is also valuable to be able to recognize certain actions in people when in a foodservice or clinical setting to gauge their attitude about eating.
